The Staff of Henry J. Burke and Sons
The third generation of the Burke family continues in the tradition of compassionate service set forth by their grandfather Henry J. Burke. Marianne and Daniel Burke along with Michael T. Burke and Charles F. Blackington, Jr. work diligently to provide personal service to local families.
Marianne M. Burke, Managing Partner/Funeral Director
A graduate of Newton Country Day School, class of 1992, Marianne earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Boston College in 1996, and continued her post-graduate studies at the Boston University College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. Marianne graduated Summa Cum Laude from New England Institute with a degree in embalming and funeral service, and was inducted into Pi Sigma Eta, the national honor society for funeral service professionals. She has been a Registered Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 2003. Marianne is a member of both the National and Massachusetts Funeral Directors Associations and the Wellesley Women's Business Network.
Daniel J. Burke, Partner/Director of Operations
A lifelong resident of Wellesley, Dan was the youngest of the Burke boys to follow in their father's footsteps into the funeral business. He has been involved with the family business since graduating from Wellesley High School in 1993 and has served as business manager and director of operations since 2000. Members of St. John the Evangelist Church, Dan and his wife Marianne reside in Wellesley Hills with their three children and enjoy membership at Woodland Golf Club in Auburndale.
Michael T. Burke, Partner/Funeral Director
Michael is a lifelong resident of Wellesley and a Wellesley High School graduate, class of 1986 and has been working in the funeral industry since 1988. A graduate of New England Institute, with a degree in embalming and funeral service, Michael has been a Registered Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 1990. Having worked closely in the business with both his grandfather and father, he learned first-hand the value of hard work and serving his community. A member of the Wellesley Special Police Department, he volunteers his time patrolling on weekends and at community events. Michael and wife Jennifer keep busy with his young twins and two stepdaughters.
