Ralph W. Rich of Wellesley passed away at the age of 68, on August 11, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. Ralph lived in Wellesley his entire life. He graduated from Wellesley High School in 1964 and attended Bentley College.
He was the Vice President and Treasurer of the W.T. Rich Company, a Newton general contractor and construction and management firm. Ralph managed many major construction projects including The Cambridge War Memorial, The Superior Courthouse in Boston, and the new Burke High School in Dorchester.
Ralph was a mentor to many and a friend to all. He was a kind and generous man with an engaging sense of humor. He was a long time little league coach to all three of his sons. He loved to spend his summers escaping to Cape Cod with his family and many cousins. Ralph will be deeply missed by many.
He was the beloved husband of the late Suzanne (Kilmain) Rich, and the father of three sons: Walter T. and his wife Cara of Madison, CT; Timothy M. of Wellesley and Rory W. of Hartford, CT. He was the proud grandfather of Kevin, Hannah, and Michael. He also leaves his brother Walter Rich and his wife Judy of Natick, his brother Edward Rich and his wife Elaine of Millis, and his sister Nancie Rich and Ceacy Henderson of Colrain. His brother Robert predeceased him.
Visiting hours will be on Thursday, August 13th from 4-8pm at The Henry J. Burke and Sons Funeral Home located at 56 Washington Street, Wellesley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 14th at 10am at St. John Church in Wellesley. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
