Obituary for Nancy Donahue

Mrs. Nancy (Anderson) Donahue, a longtime and extremely proud resident of Newton and beloved wife of John P. “Jack” Donahue, passed away surrounded by her loving husband and family on Friday, May 5, 2023.

She is predeceased by her parents Fredrick and Edith Anderson of Newton, MA. She had a long career at Raytheon, was an accomplished artist, and had fond memories of summers in Provincetown, MA and time in North Woodstock, NH.

Nancy was a friend of Bill’s and she recently celebrated her 49th anniversary on May 1st. Also coming up in May was to be Nancy and Jack’s 16th wedding anniversary. The two of them literally traveled the world together, including an amazing trip to Kenya and the Serengeti. As perfect travel partners Nancy and Jack loved their time exploring, telling stories of their adventures, and planning their next excursion.

The Donahue family thanks all the incredible nurses and doctors at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Their compassion and support was extraordinary through the entire time.

Visiting hours will be held at the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington St. West Newton on Friday, May 12, from 5-6:30PM concluding with a memorial service at 6:30PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to “Town of Provincetown - History Preservation Project”, Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA 02657 or at http://www.provincetownhistoryproject.com/donate
