Obituary for Mary M. Murphy
Mary Murphy (Miller) age 85, of Newton and Wareham, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023.
Mary is survived by her dear husband of 58 years, Richard J. “Dick” Murphy; her sons William, his partner Amber Conley and daughter Bridget of Gloucester; Christopher of Newton; and Daniel, his wife Elizabeth of Coventry CT and their children Emma and Ryan.
A proud alumna of Boston College and former school psychologist, she lived a life of service. She was a dedicated volunteer at St. Francis House in Boston and a devoted participant in countless Parish and Archdiocesan programs.
Visiting Hours will be held at Burke and Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington Street, West Newton, MA 02465 on Monday, March 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 7, 2023, in Sacred Heart Church, 1321 Centre St. Newton, MA at 10:30 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. All at invited to attend.
