Obituary for Frances P. Stefanik

Frances Patricia Stefanik, 84 of Marlborough passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 20, 2022.

Patty was born and raised in Newton, MA on February 2, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Francis “Jake” Hough and Mary (Flynn) Hough.

Patty was a sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family meant everything to her. Being involved and caring for her grand and great grandchildren was what she loved most. To the little ones she was known as Gram, Great Grammy and Grandma. She raised her 4 children on her own after the death of her husband in 1970.

Patty came from a large family of 2 brothers and 7 sisters whom she loved dearly. Hearing their laughter at family gatherings is a memory we will all cherish. She leaves behind her brother Ralph Hough and sisters Margaret (Peggy) Whalen, Nancy Colella and Marlene Walsh and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother William Hough, Sisters Mary (Donna) McLaughlin, Georgie Moon, Ellen Steele and Judith Whitney.

She is survived by her 4 children, Robert Stefanik Jr. of Marlborough, MA, Nancy Anderson and husband Edward of Berlin, MA, Mary Dumais and husband Guy of Worcester, MA, Steven Stefanik and wife Stephanie of Grafton, MA

She leaves behind 8 grandchildren Christina, Bonny, Thomas, Katherine, Mason, Elizabeth, Steven and Matthew. 6 great grandchildren Cameron, Anthony, Drew, Victoria, Parker and Natalie. She loved all animals and had several dogs over the years, she leaves behind her beloved dog Lucy.

A private graveside service will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Monday, November, 28th at 11AM.
