Vincenzina (Scalise) Gigliotti
Age 89 years, of Wellesley, MA on June 16, 2022.
Vincenzina was married to her husband Natale for 69 years. He predeceased her by one month. She is survived by her sons Frank (Linda) of Plymouth, MA, Robert (Marianne) of Sudbury, MA and Paul (Demetria) of Wellesley, MA. She was predeceased by her precious daughter Linda. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Michael, Laura, Adam, Aaron, Andrew, Christopher and Kayla.
Born on September 22, 1932 in Acaria, Italy, to Pietro and Angela (Fragale) Scalise. She is also survived by one sister, Antoinette (Ward Albright) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Her love of family and friends highlights the personality of Vincenzina. She loved cooking for gatherings large and small, especially desserts of ricotta pie and pizzellas being the favorites of her grandchildren. She combined this love of food and children while working in the Wellesley Public School cafeterias for many years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and hearing their stories
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday morning, June 25, 2022 at St. Paul’s Parish, 502 Washington St., Wellesley at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Friday from 4-7PM in the Henry J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 56 Washington St. (Rt 16) Wellesley Hills. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley
