Natale Gigliotti
Age 95years, passed away at his home in Wellesley, MA on May 15, 2022.
Natale is survived by his wife of Vincenzina (Scalise) with whom he shared 69 years of a wonderful marriage. He was the father of Frank (Linda) of Plymouth, MA, Robert
(Marianne) of Sudbury, MA and Paul (Demetria) of Wellesley, MA He was predeceased by his precious daughter Linda. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Michael, Laura, Adam, Aaron, Andrew, Christopher and Kayla.
Born on April 21, 1927 in Platania, Italy, Natale was the 3rd of 12 children born to Fiore and Lucia (Grandinetti) Gigliotti. He is survived by three siblings, Francesco (Sestina), Teresa (Orazio) Santangelo and Angelo (Paula) all of Newton, MA as well as many nieces and nephews.
After immigrating to the United States in 1952, Natale worked a number of jobs before establishing Gigliotti Landscaping Company which thrived under his leadership for 50 years. In retirement, Natale enjoyed tending to his garden, traveling which included stops in Alaska, Panama, Italy and Greece and fixing anything that needed repair, a
"jack of all trades." He also greatly enjoyed spending time with his large extended family and friends. The family would also like to thank the caretakers who attended to Natale's needs over the past few years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday morning, May 20, 2022 at St. Paul’s Parish, 502 Washington St, Wellesley at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4:30-7:30PM in the Henry J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 56 Washington St., Wellesley. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Natale’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.or or to the charity of one’s choice
