Obituary for Elaine B. Hopkinson (Daudelin)
Elaine B. Hopkinson, of Newton passed away Friday, July 16, 2021 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Charles M. “Hoppy” Hopkinson, she is survived by her children Chuck Hopkinson, Donna Hopkinson and her wife Bernice Archambault and Scott Hopkinson and his partner Greg Pallas. She was the loving grandmother of Allison Surette and her husband Tom, Rob King and his wife Allyson Culgin King, Michelle Turner and her husband James, Craig Deblois and his partner Dana Peplinski, Lisa Frade and her husband Joseph. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Charlie, Grace, Will, Joey, Danny, Justin and Dean.
Mrs. Hopkinson was the hairdresser at the Stone Rehabilitation Center in Newton Upper Falls for 45 years as well as a crossing guard for the City of Newton for many years.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 11AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 9 Glen Rd. Wellesley, followed by interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Hopkinson’s memory may be made to The Alzheimer’s Foundation at https://act.alz.org/goto/jenosojnicki.
