Charles Stella, 77 yrs. old, was born on November 13, 1943 to Salvatore Stella and Fanny (Busheme) Stella and entered eternal life on December 15, 2020 after a long battle with prostate cancer. He passed away at home surrounded by his family. He was a long time resident of Wellesley from 1997-2020. Prior to moving to Wellesley, he was raised in East Boston. He attended Sacred Heart High School graduating in 1961. He continued his education obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University in 1970. He worked for Transitron as a technician in the 1970's prior to his disability.

Charlie was a man of varied interests. He had a love of music, teaching himself to play both the harmonica and the recorder. He was an avid reader, enjoying philosophy, the classics and science fiction. He took pleasure in studying languages mainly Italian, German and Russian which began in his high school days and continued throughout his life. He always enjoyed a good game of chess with friends. He had a love for his family and enjoyed close and loving family ties.

I met Charlie through my long friendship with his sister Marie. The loving bond of siblings was readily apparent and exhibited by Charlie via his helping around the house wherever he could. I can still see his face, eyebrows raised, eyes wide, with a big smile as he joined Marie and I for a taste treat after our morning of baking Christmas breads. He was a kind, intelligent, and charming gentleman who will be missed.

Dear Marie and Family,

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Charlie will be greatly missed! May God help you through this difficult time and ease your pain. He was always kind and happy when I would stop by. It is never easy to say goodbye but those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday, unseen, unheard but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear.

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted". -Matthew 5:4

Sending my love!

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through this season of loss. May God comfort you with His love. Helen Keller once said "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose; all that we deeply love becomes a part of us.” Charlie is with you always and one day we shall see him again. All my love and prayers

Charlie, you will be greatly missed by the Iannicelli family. For the times we spoke, you were inquisitive, funny, and always warm and welcoming. I appreciate you and will always remember you!

As our Lord said, "Do not let your hearts be troubled ... my Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” - John 14

Find peace and rest with our Lord and Savior.
