Obituary for Dr. Andrea A. Maalouf

Andrea is, without a doubt, the world’s greatest Mother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Friend, Doctor, Teacher, and so much more.
She was born on October 8 th , 1960 at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Dorchester (Boston), MA and was raised and educated in Boston. She was the firstborn child to parents Alexandra and Joseph H. Maalouf, and was the first in the family to graduate from college. She was the proud mother of triplets, Rose, Abraham, and Joey, as well as a loving dog Teddy. She was one of four siblings, sister to Laila, George, and John.
She was a loving aunt to Joseph, Alex, and Annie Maalouf, children of George and Carole Maalouf. She leaves behind in New York six nieces and nephews, Genevieve, Alexandra, Joseph, Jack, Christiane, and Veronique, children of John and Alice. She also leaves behind numerous cousins, relatives, and lifelong friends.
She graduated from Boston Latin Academy, attended Harvard University for her Bachelor’s degree, continued on to Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, and received a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Boston University’s School of Public Health. She retired after nearly two decades as a professor at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Her accolades are endless and beyond measure.
She loved to travel the world and shared that love with her children. She spoke several
languages, including French and Arabic.
As she raised her wonderful triplets on her own, she showed the world tremendous strength, wisdom, and compassion. Her guidance extends beyond her years, and her love is boundless. We remember her always and ask that in place of flowers, donations can be made to the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center.
