Obituary for Jing Pan

Jing Pan passed away on Friday, September 7th, 2018 at the age of 59. He was born in Beijing, China on March 28th, 1959. After the Cultural Revolution, he was among the very first class admitted to university. He attended Shanghai Jiao Tong University and became a professor at the same university upon graduating. He moved to the United States in 1988 and attended Northeastern University and earned his Master's Degree in engineering. He worked at Prospect for a while and later became a Principal Engineer at Zoll Medical where he played a large part in the development of their defibrillator. He leaves his beautiful wife, Nancy(Naijie) and two lovely daughters: Michelle, 17, and Aimee, 12, the devoted son of Tian Yuan Pan and Xue Fen Ying of China and his brother Rong Pan of Japan. He loved engineering and his family above all. He was an amazing, kind, humorous, loving person, gone too early. Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Service in the Newton Cemetery Chapel, 791 Walnut St., Newton Centre, Saturday, September 15 at 1:00 PM.
