I never had the pleasure of knowing Anne, I met her only once, shortly before her return to NWH after being out for several months, and did she look fabulous in that wonderful hat!  I was the nurse who covered for her during the months she was unable to work. I say “covered for her,” I sat in her seat, but never filled that seat.  I told her, in a slide show the department sent to her, that I was keeping the seat warm for her return.  The love her colleagues, including the physicians with whom she worked, had for her was palpable.   Anne was an inspiration for many, including me. Her faith, her positive outlook, her love of life, for those in her life and of her work are a very special legacy.  I can only begin to imagine the sorrow you feel at her loss.   My thoughts and prayers are with you, know that no one can take the memory of Anne and her love from you, it will be in your hearts forever.
