Obituary for Jean M. Jordan

Jean M. Jordan (Beckwith), a lifelong resident of Wellesley passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Born in Wellesley to Junius and Esther (McDonough) Beckwith, she was a graduate of Wellesley High School, class of 1947. She was the beloved wife of the late James T. Jordan and loving mother of Barbara J. Wilson and her husband Ronald, and Brian J. Jordan and his wife Siobhan all of Wellesley. Dear sister of Carole Kline of Wellesley, Millard and Robert Beckwith of Natick and Diane Lawrence of Wayland. Devoted grandmother of Jamie Jordan of Chicago, IL, Justin and John “JC” Jordan of Austin, TX and Jacqueline Jordan of Wellesley, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10AM in St. John the Evangelist Parish, Wellesley followed by interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham. Visiting hours will be Friday evening, from 4-8PM at the Henry J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 56 Washington St. Wellesley. Mrs. Jordan dedicated her life to her family as well as caring for the children of Wellesley. She was a crossing guard for the Town of Wellesley for over 50 years and worked as an administrative assistant in both the Warren and Schofield Schools for over 30 years. Donations in her name may be made to St. John the Evangelist Parish, where she was a lifelong and active parishioner.
