Anastacia “Sta” Eccles, of Wellesley passed away September 23, 2016 at the age of 94. Born in Wellesley, the daughter of Joseph and Wanda (Gawrych) Harunkiewicz, Mrs. Eccles was a graduate of Wellesley High School. For over 40 years, she worked in retail sales on Moody St. in Waltham. Beloved wife of 43 yrs to the late George R. Eccles, she is the loving mother of Jan Johnson and her husband Wayne of Natick and grandmother of Georgia Johnson, Craig Johnson and his wife Shannon. She was predeceased by her seven siblings: Virginia McCormick, Helen, John and Michael Harunkiewicz, and Stanley, Edward and George “Gige” Harunk. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, September 29th from 4-6PM at the Henry J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 56 Washington St. Wellesley Hills. Interment will be private. Mrs. Eccles was an avid bowler, reader and card player.
