Obituary for James E. Jenkins

JENKINS, James Eliot, 87, of Mount Pleasant, SC, December 14, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Marylyn A. Jenkins. James was born December 14, 1928 in Newton, son of the late James Eliot Jenkins and Sadie Thompson Jenkins. He served in the United States Marines and was a past commander for American Legion Post 440 in Newton, He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Wellesley Hills.
He is survived by his son, Paul Jenkins of Mount Pleasant, SC; brother-in-law, Stephen Kilmain of Madbury, NH; sister-in-law, Evelyn Locke of Wayland, MA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 in the Henry J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 56 Washington Street, Wellesley Hills, at 11:30 AM followed by interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Needham. A period of visitation will be held immediately prior to the service from 9:30-11:30AM Saturday. Donations in James’ memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
