Jefferson, Lillie Belle (Perry) of West Newton passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Tippett House, Needham, MA.

Lillie is survived by her husband, Matthew, three children, Richard Jefferson and his wife Helen of Newton, MA, Paulette Jones and her husband Gerald of Ashland, MA, and Dr. Laurie Nsiah Jefferson of Acton, MA; 6 grandchildren; Shelley N. Jefferson, Derron L. Jones (Sarah), Jeremiah F. Jefferson (Michele), Ashley B. Jefferson, Kwabena M.J. Nsiah and Tracie Morrissey; 6 great grandchildren, Derron Jones, Jr., Kiara Jones, Matteo Jefferson, Angelina Jefferson, Isaiah Herring, and Ivana Herring. Grammee was special to all. There are so many “other children,” nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she and her husband of 68 years, nurtured, welcomed into their home, supported, encouraged and LOVED who will miss her dearly. Her brothers, Saul, Perry, Jr. (Ladee), and Hollis Perry and sister, Mary Ragsdale will have their own individual memories of her to cherish. Her sisters, Ruby and Lula Mae and brother, Curtis, predeceased her. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 23, at Myrtle Baptist Church, West Newton, MA. Wake is 10am-12pm, funeral 12pm. Internment is at Newton Cemetery.
