Obituary for John Dwight Ogles

John Dwight  Ogles
OGLES, John Dwight, a 50-year resident of Natick passed away Monday, August 27, 2018 at the age of 70, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 50 years to Nancy (Frazier). Loving father of Julie Ogles of Westwood and Nick Ogles of Peabody. Doting grandfather of Charlie and Claire Doherty and John and Andrew Ogles. Cherished brother-in-law of Claire and Mary Frazier of Framingham, Susan Gallup (Phillip) of Brockton, Linda Gagné (Paul) of Reading and Thomas Frazier of Framingham.
Born in Paragould, AR to the late Hettie Ogles he was the dear brother of Wayne Ogles (Aleatha) of AR, Sheila Cleavenger (Gil) of OH, Vickie Ogles of AR and the late Rita Greer. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. John was a proud veteran of the US Army having served as sergeant in Vietnam. After finishing his service, he began his career at Lawless Chrysler Jeep in Woburn where he has acted as service director for the last 50 years. A devoted grandfather, John delighted in watching his grandchildren in their sporting events and theater performances. He also loved spending time tending his garden.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 31 at 10AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 9 Glen Rd. Wellesley, followed by interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham. Visiting hours will be held at the Henry J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 56 Washington St. Wellesley Hills Thursday from 5-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at StJude.org.
