After a courageous fight, Phyllis E. Roche, 53 years young, passed away on April 8, 2018. Phyllis was born on March 12, 1965, in Attleboro, MA, to David Roche and the late Marjorie (Morrison) Roche of South Dennis, MA. She was the loving wife of Kathryn Hennessy of Stoneham, MA, and the cherished sister of Stephanie Ellis and her husband Wayne from Marstons Mills, MA, and David Roche, Jr., of Derry, NH. She was adored by her nieces and nephews: Nicole Roche, Sheree Roche, Louise Roche, Colleen Ellis, Catherine Ellis, David Ellis and Christian Hennessy. She leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and cherished friends.
Phyllis attended Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School and Emmanuel College. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, entertaining others, and relaxing at the ocean. She was proud of her Irish heritage and loved traveling to Ireland. Her quick wit and contagious smile lit up any room. She enjoyed all kinds of music and loved to share her new playlists while cooking a gourmet meal for others. Phyllis captured the hearts of everyone she met and became a loyal, trusted friend to many. Phyllis’ resilience during the past two years inspired a tremendous outpouring of love and support for which her family is deeply grateful. Phyllis’ family would like to give special thanks to Sara Dwyer who spent countless hours supporting Kathryn and Phyllis no matter what time of day or night, and to the kind, compassionate doctors, nurses and caregivers at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Spaulding Rehabilitation Center, Cambridge.
