Obituary for Virginia Zellmann

Virginia  Zellmann
Virginia Zellmann (Finnegan) of Wellesley, December 28, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Henry E. Zellmann. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (McSherry) Finnegan and dear sister to Madelyn Ceriani of Newton and the late Mildred “Lee” Lechiaro. Also survived by step sons Tracey and Albert Zellmann as well as five grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Mrs. Zellmann was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph school in Brighton and received her undergraduate degree from Teacher’s College before earning her Masters in Education from Boston College. She worked for many years as a 2nd grade teacher in the Squantum neighborhood of Quincy, MA.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, January 2nd at 11AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 9 Glen Rd. Wellesley Hills followed by interment in Newton Cemetery. An hour of visitation will be held immediately prior to the Mass from 10-11AM in the Henry J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 56 Washington St. Wellesley Hills.
In lieu of flowers, and in recognition of her beloved dog and constant companion Christique, donation in Mrs. Zellmann’s memory may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at ASPCA.org
