Eric James Fabio of Newton, Ma October 11, 1992 - December 17, 2016. Taken from us too soon at the age of 24, Eric was the beloved son of Eugene Fabio and Maura (Brennan) Hughes and the stepson of Jill (Trevisone) Fabio and H.Daniel Hughes. Originating from a large, loving family, Eric leaves behind his heartbroken brothers Nicholas and Alex, his sister in law Lynsay (Mills) Fabio, his stepsister's Akecia Trevisone and Jenni Hughes.
Grandson of Mary Fabio and the late Faust Fabio, and Grace Brennan and the late William Brennan, Great Nephew of John Bonafede and the late Peter, Billy, and Joey Bonafede. Nephew of Thea and Richard Merrill of TX, Faust (Butch) and Alice Fabio of Newton, Mary and Patrick O'leary of Newton and Cynthia Brennan of NH.
Cousin of Alessandra Merrill and her husband Paul Womack , Maria Merrill, Livia Merrill, Gina Fabio, Victor Fabio, Gloria Fabio, Dominic O'leary, Angela O'leary, and Vincente O'leary who all loved him dearly.

Eric lived his younger life in Newton, however, he graduated from St. Martin Episcopal High School in New Orleans. He began his post secondary education at Lehigh University and most recently, at the University of Massachusetts. Eric was always a talented young man and enjoyed many marine activities with his entire family, whom he cared tremendously about. He was also quick with a match or a firework, everyone could depend on Eric to ignite the largest, most sustainable fires. Eric was as much at home behind the wheel of his BMW as he was rolling on the floor with a puppy. His death is a tremendous tragedy, leaving his loved ones with a hole that can never be filled.
