Riley, Thomas P. of West Newton, February 23, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Sheila (Carroll) Riley. Devoted father of Kelli Kelley of Billerica and Karen Atkinson and her husband Gregory of Needham. Predeceased by his parents Nora J. (McCarthy) and Dennis J. Riley of Mission Hill and his brothers John, William, Francis and Gerard and his sisters Mary (LaChapple), Catherine and Nora (Sheehy). Tom is also survived by his grandchildren, Samantha McCarter of Chelmsford, Andrew, Matthew and Shayla Kelley of Billerica and Robert, Thomas, Scott and Jeffrey Atkinson of Needham. Tom was a proud Marine in the 1st Regiment 3rd Marine Division and a Korean War veteran. He was also a member of the IUOE Local 4. Visiting hour will be held on Monday February 29, 2016 at St. Bernard’s Church 1523 Washington Street West Newton at 9:00am followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00am. Burial will be following the Mass at Calvary Cemetery 250 High Street Waltham MA. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
