John J. Desmond III, of Newton Highlands, Jan. 8, 2016. Beloved husband of 44 years to Elizabeth Desmond (Cheney). John, son of John and Mary Desmond, was a proud veteran of the US Navy, having served in the Korean War. A graduate of Harvard University Class of 1955. He went on to earn his MBA and J.D. from Boston College. After a successful law career, he moved to the position of Senior Vice President of Boston Edison. John is also survived by his brother, sister, niece, nephew, and many dear friends.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 10AM in the Wellesley Hills Congregational Church, 207 Washington St. Wellesley Hills, followed by interment in Milton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to a charity of your choosing.
