Brodie and his wife Shirley of Waltham. Dear brother of the late Jessie MacDonald, James, Hugh and William Brodie. Loving grandfather of Christina & Deidre Brodie, Jennifer Browne and the late Aaron Brodie and great grandfather of Caroline and Liam Browne, Kyla and Keastyn Williams and Brynnlee Chaban. David was a WWII Coast Guard Veteran who served on the USS Lansing-DE/DER-388 WDE-488 and also a Past Commander of the VFW Newton Post 1664. Funeral from the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington St., (Rte. 16), West Newton, Saturday, March 7 at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Bernard's Church, West Newton at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Friday evening from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made in David's memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
