RODRIGUEZ, Isabel Silva, age 72, of Newton, MA, died on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at her home. She leaves behind her loving husband, Andres Rodriguez Mendoza; three children, Andres, Antonio, and Elisa; and eight grandchildren. She came to the United States from Venezuela in 1983 to plant new roots for her family. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in American Studies at Pine Manor in 1989 and later returned to her first love, the piano, at the All Newton School of Music, where she studied and performed for over 10 years. She will be missed most for entertaining dear friends for more than three decades with a grace and charm that made them all feel at home in this strange new land of hers. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington Street, Newton, MA, on Tuesday, November 25, at 10:30 AM for friends and family.
